Sambal Seafood with Asparagus


Ingredient 1. Prawns - 200g (de-shell and de-vein) 2. Squid - 200g (wash and cut into rings) 3. Mexican Asparagus - 200g 4. Sambal minced dried prawn chilli - 2 tbsp 5. Minced garlic - 2 garlic clove worth


Preparation 1. Wash and skin off the fibrous surface of the asparagus. Once done cut into bite size.


2. Boil a small pot of water, add in 2 tsp of cooking oil and 1/3 tsp of salt. Upon boiling, pour in the bite size asparagus for 15 secs and remove them for later usage.

The Dish 1. Heat up the wok and add 2 tbsp of cooking oil.


2. Add in the minced garlic and saute till fragrant before adding in the dried shrimp chilli paste.


3. Upon fragrant, introduce the prepared prawns and squid to stir fry till they are cooked. (Stir fry for approx 25 secs using high heat)


4. Add in the the blanched asparagus and continue to stir fry the mixture for approx 10 to 15 secs. Add some salt to the content to your desired taste and off the heat.


5. Serve your dish with some plain rice.
