Chicken Katsu Don (with pre-cook Chicken popcorn) 4pax


Ingredient 1. Frozen chicken popcorn - 1 pkt 2. Yellow Onion - 1 big bulb (cut into slices) 3. Eggs - 6 eggs ( 1.5 eggs per portion) 4. Chicken stock - 600ml ( 150ml per portion) 5. Mirin (sweet cooking sauce) - 4 tbsp (1 tbsp per portion) 6. Soya sauce - 2 tbsp ( 0.5 tbsp per portionl 7. Sugar - 2 tbsp (0.5tbsp per portion) 8. Dark Soya sauce - 2 tbsp (0.5tbsp per portion) 9. Steamed rice - 4 bowls 10. Spring onion - 2 stalk (chopped)


Preparation 1. Air fried or deep fried the chicken popcorns and set them aside.


2. Beat 1.5 pc of eggs into a bowl and set aside.


The Dish 1. Using a smal pan, stir fry some sliced yellow onion till it soften.


2. Pour in 150ml of chicken stock, 1 tbsp of mirin, 0.5 soya sauce, 0.5 of dark soya sauce, 0.5 tbsp of sugar and cook till it boils.




3. Upon boiling, add in the desired amount of chicken popcorns and the beaten egg. Allow it to solidify about 60% and pour the entire mixture over a bowl of rice. (Repeat same process for the next 3 servings)


4. Garnish your serving with some chopped spring onion. You may add some chilli powder and some roasted sesame seeds to it as well.
