Sesame Oil Ginger Chicken (麻油鸡) (For 2 pax)



Ingredient 1. Chicken mid wing - 8pcs (chop into half) 2. Old ginger - 2 inch pc (wash and shred) 3. Sesame oil - a generous portion ( i used about 10 tbsp or more) 4. Water - 100ml 5. Coriander - 2 small stalk (for garnish)




Seasoning 1. Oyster sauce - 1 tbsp 2. Dark soya sauce - 2 tbsp 3. Light soya sauce - 1 tbsp 4. Sugar - 2 tsp 5. Cooking wine (shaoxing) - 1.5 cap





The Dish 1. Heat wok using medium heat and add in a generous amount of sesame oil.

2. Upon seeing white smoke, add in the shredded ginger and fried it till slight golden brown.

3. Add in the halved mid wing and stir fry with the ginger. Allow the chicken to turn a bit brown on both side before pouring in the 100ml of water.

4. Add in the seasoning sauce, mix well and allow it to simmer for 10mins. Do stir it periodically.

5. Taste it and add salt if necessary.

6. Scoop it out onto your serving bowl/plate, garnish with coriander and you are ready to serve.
